4.75cr people get relief assistance amid COVID-19 crisis

About 4.75 crore people of over one crore families across the country have received relief as humanitarian assistance as the government continues its efforts to mitigate their sufferings in the wake of the coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic.

According to the information received from the district administrations of 64 districts, as of yesterday 1.53217 lakh metric tons of rice have been allocated as relief and 1.22 lakh metric tons have been distributed.

As a result, the number of beneficiary families stood at 1 crore 5 lakh 55 thousand while the number of beneficiaries was 4.71cr, an official handout said today.

Besides, about Taka 85 crore has been allocated so far as cash aid.

As a result, the number of beneficiary families stood at 67.92 lakh while the number of beneficiaries was 3.2430 cr.

About Taka 17.54 cr has been allocated for baby food so far, and Tk 13.9718728 cr has been distributed.

As a result, the number of beneficiary families stood at 4.36063 lakh while the number of beneficiaries is 8.89105 lakh.
