Allama Shah Ahmed Shafi, ameer of Bangladesh Hefajat-e-Islam, was again hopsitalised on Monday as he fell ill. He was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) from his Hathazari Madrasah. He has now been receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital, said his son Anas Madani. He told reporters that Ahmed Shafi was been brought to the hospital for a checkup due to his old-age complications. Earlier on June 6, the Hefajat chief was admitted to the same Hospital with old-age complications. He returned to Hathazari Madrasah on June 16 after making recovery.
