CAAB suspends flights with 10 countries

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) suspended flights from 10 countries to Bangladesh to prevent the coronavirus pandemic which will be effective from today midnight.

The flights will remain suspended till March 31 between Bangladesh and the 10 countries including Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Malaysia, Oma, Singapore and India. But the ban excludes China, Britain, Hong Kong and Thailand.

The Director of Shahjalal International Airport Group Captain Touhid-ul-Hasan told Kaler Kantho: “All international flights will remain suspended after today midnight till March 31 except China Eastern, China Southern, Kathe Pacific and Thai Airways.”
