A five-member Awami League delegation, led by chief whip ASM Feroz, collected the nomination paper on behalf of president Abdul Hamid for the presidential election scheduled for February 18. The AL-delegation the nomination paper from the returning officer’s office at Election Commission in Dhaka at about 11:15am. Helal Uddin Ahmed, acting secretary of the Election Commission, handed over the nomination paper in presence of chief election commissioner KM Nurul Huda. According to the schedule last date for submission of nomination paper is February 5, it will be scrutinised on February 7, and it can be withdrawn up to 4:00pm on February 10.
