Dhaka North City Corporation on Tuesday canceled trade licenses of six coaching centres situated at Farmgate area under their jurisdiction. The coaching centres are—UCC, UniAid, Icon, Icon Plus and Omega Coaching Centre. DNCC said that the coaching centres continued illegal outdoor publicity using billboards, signboards, over-heads, banners, posters, festoons and the other forms of advertisements, said a DNCC press release. DNCC claimed that the coaching centres were asked not to go for outdoor publicity making city dirty but they ignored it. As they violated rules DNCC formerly fined them in the past. According to the city corporation (taxation) rules 1986, the local government agency cancelled their trade license finally on Tuesday, said the release. More about:
