The High Court has asked the government to maintain status quo for two months on the publication of gazette notification regarding the implemantation of 9th wage board award. An HC bench of Justice Obaidul Hassan and Justice Mohammad Ali passed the order on Tuesday after holding the primary hearing on a writ petition. Newspaper Owners' Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) filed the writ on Monday challenging the legality of the 9th wage board. Advocate Yousuf Ali stood for NOAB while deputy attorney general Yasmin Begum represented the state in the court.
