An Italy-returnee man died at a private hospital in Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj on Sunday night. The 60-year-old man, who returned to Bangladesh on January 28, died at Sayed Yousuf Memorial Hospital around 11:00pm. Health and family planning official Dr Bulbul Ahmed confirmed the matter. The man returned from Italy on February 28 and was suffering from fever, cough and breathing problems for last several days. The victim was admitted to the hospital on Sunday night and later shifted to a private hospital as his condition deteriorated. According to the source, a team of Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) has collected specimens from his body this morning. Local administration brought 10 houses adjacent to the deceased resident, a hospital and a doctor’s chamber under lockdown.
