Khoka’s body to be brought home Thursday

The body of former mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation Sadeque Hossain Khoka will be brought back home from US on Thursday.

A flight of Emirates Airlines will land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka with the body around 8:10am.

BNP Chairperson’s media wing member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter around 11:30pm on Monday.

The BNP vice chairman breathed his last at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, New York at about 1:50pm Bangladesh time (BST) on Monday.

He has been undergoing treatment at the hospital since October 18 as infections developed in his mouth.

Khoka’s son Ishraque Hossain said his father’s first namaz-e-janaza held at Jamaica Muslim Center, New York, on Monday night where huge number of Bangladeshis took part.
