A Dhaka court on Monday placed Md Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan, Director-In-Charge of Mohammedan Sporting Club, on a seven-day remand in a corruption case. Dhaka Metropolitan Judge KM Imrul Kayes passed the order after hearing on remand petition. Earlier, Investigation Officer (IO) of the case produced Lokman, also a director of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), before the court seeking seven days of remand to interrogate him. On September 25, Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Lokman from his Monipuripara residence in Dhaka. On October 27, ACC assistant director Saiful Islam filed a case against Lokman for amassing illegal wealth.
