Missing madrasa student’s headless body found

Police recovered the beheaded body of a madrasa student from a brick field village in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga district on Wednesday morning, a day after he went missing.

Hailed from Daulatpur village in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenidah district, deceased Abir, 10, was a second-grader of Koyradanga Nurani Hafizia Madrasa in the upazila.

Locals found the decapitated body at a brick field in Koyradanga area around 9am and informed police, said Alamdanga Police Station OC Asaduzzaman Munsi.

Being informed, additional superintendent of Chuadanga police Kanilal Sarker alongwith his team went to the scene and recovered the body.

The body was sent to Chuadanga General Hospital morgue, Kanilal Sarker said, adding that police are investigating the matter.
