Special Parliament session postponed
The two-day special sessions of the National Parliament on the occasion of 'Mujib Year' on March 22 and 27 was postponed due to the present coronavirus pandemic.
Source of the President's Office confirmed the news.
The special session of the Parliament was scheduled to begin on Sunday at 11 am. More than 200 delegates, including diplomats from foreign missions, were reported to be attending, even though foreign guests were not supposed to attend the session. Special discussions were underway to make the session memorable, sources said.
Earlier, the President of the People's Republic Md Abdul Hamid convened the special session to commemorate the centenary birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with other plans.
