A case has been filed against owner of Emad Paribahan  over Sunday's expressway accident that left 19 people dead.

Shibchar highway police sergeant Jayanta Sarkar lodged the case with Shibchar Police Station on Sunday night.

Some unknown accused have been made accused in the case where Emad authorities mentioned that the accident occurred due to the mechanical fault and high speed of the bus, said OC Anwar Hossain of the police station.

Nineteen people were killed and at least 30 injured after a bus fell on the ground breaking the railing of Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway with a heavy force at Kutubpur under Shibchar upazila in Madaripur district on Sunday (March 19) morning.
